Mari Inuyashiki (犬屋敷 麻理, Inuyashiki Mari) is a high school student, the daughter of Ichirō Inuyashiki and Marie Inuyashiki and the older sister of Takeshi Inuyashiki.

Mari is a slender, tall young woman with fair skin, straight black hair falling to her waist in a muffin-top style with bangs framing her dark-brown eyes and full, pink lips.
Background[]
When Mari was little, she was really close to her father Ichirō Inuyashiki and she was always holding his hand, which was to the extent where she would be worried that he would die soon due to him looking quite old for his age, reaching the point where she suggested getting cosmetic surgery. Now, she hardly talks to him as she got older, although they become close again once she is saved towards the end of the series.
Plot[]
Mari and her family moved from their old apartment to the new house her dad has build. Obsessed with wealth and jealous of the Oda's house, she decided to become a manga artist just like Oda's father to crush them and make them jealous of her, so they will lick her boots.[1]
She eventually notices that her dad and Naoyuki Ando are together, thus she decides to follow them, suspecting something more is going on between them. She is quite surprised however, as she notices that they go to hospitals, after which she searches on her phone, and relates the miracles to him.
Etymology[]
- The name Mari means "hemp, flat" (麻) (ma) and "reason, logic" (理) (ri).
- Mari's surname Inuyashiki means "dog" (犬) (inu) and "mansion" (屋敷) (yashiki).
